Chevron Center
Project Employee

The Chevron Center is a student-focused resource for those in the College of Engineering, offering various programs. As a Project Employee at the Chevron Center of Louisiana State University, I oversaw the disposal of waste from 3D printer baths while following university safety regulations. I had a key role in developing the Mechanical Lab Guidelines Module with Dr. Walker (linked below), aimed at students' presentation skills. This initiative highlighted practical knowledge in effective presentation techniques and proper slide formatting.

BASF Mechanical Engineering Intern

I completed my first internship with BASF in Geismar, LA, where I volunteered at various events, including Kids Day (as seen in the image), engaging children in STEAM activities. My key responsibilities included developing seal technology presentations, updating the Heavy Duty Rotating Equipment (HDRE) list to enhance efficiency, mentoring under the HDRE specialist, leading daily production meetings for Specialty Amines, auditing mechanical components for accurate labeling, assisting in eyewash station design for compliance, and attending meetings to learn about chemical plant processes. Every Intern has a end of summer presentation, and my presentation can be accessed below.

Election Commissioner

I began my role as an Election Commissioner my senior year in AP Government and Politics and continued the role even after college. It was an exciting opportunity, especially in 2020, as we were returning from the pandemic and needed to maintain safe. My key responsibilities included: - Supporting election operations for over 3000 voters. - Ensuring unbiased practices and compliance with precinct standards. To work at the polls during an election, a commissioner must complete an online training and exam, as well as an in-person training class.
